Let the celebrations commence !
The centenary year began with the Centenary Dinner which was held at Cairndhu Golf Club on 8th November 2008, as close as possible to the actual date of the Club's foundation in 1908.It proved a very good evening with meal, cabaret by Gene Fitzpatrick followed by dancing and all who attended thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Below is a list of some key events however members are advised to keep checking the noticeboards and website regularly for further updates and information on all club activities.

Centenary Book - great value at £3 it gives a potted version of the club's history with some interesting photographs and stories an ideal keepsake to mark the 100th birthday
Key Ring - also £3 it also has the added benefit of a small coin to use for the shopping trolly.
Peaked Cap - these are £6, are white with club badge suitable for both tennis and bowlers alike really good for the anticpated long hot summer
Pens - at only £1 - every member should have one or two.

Sunday 14th June Friendly Bowls match - Larne v Irish International Team. - 2.00pm
Friday 3rd July Private Greens Club Presidents Invitational Bowls Tournament. - 6.30pm
Saturday 25th July Tennis Tournament Larne V Dublin Lawn Tennis Council Select. - 2.00pm
Saturday 1st August The Club hosts the Belfast & District Tennis League's Knock Out cup Finals. Friday 21st August Friendly Bowls match, Larne select v Private greens select. - 6.30pm
Saturday 19th September : the Club will stage the Minnis trophy game between the Private Greens and the Kenilworth Club from Dublin. this prestigious event was started in 1943 by Larne member Richard Minnis with the object of raising money for blind charities and has been held annually ever since.
VISITORS Three touring bowls teams will visit the Club during the season Sunday 21st June Westland Sports Bowls club from England Tuesday 21st July Pontymister Welfare Bowls Club from Wales Sunday 13th September Chryston & District Bowling Club from Scotland
